Emmetsburg High School is in search of a highly innovative and enthusiastic individual to teach Spanish. The qualified individual will have the opportunity to encourage and enlighten students as they move on to the college level following graduation. The Emmetsburg Community School District is in the heart of Palo Alto County, Northwest Iowa. The community boasts about Five Island Lake that has its southern tip in the city limits and expands north seven miles. The community has a wellness center, golf course, and four large city parks. In addition, Palo Alto County has several outdoor recreational sites. The community can also boast about the hospital, Iowa Lakes Community College, Wild Rose Casino, a Welcome Center and a variety of retail shops. The community is proud of the school’s many academic and extracurricular programs.

Students: 758 students, in a School District that includes Emmetsburg, Cylinder and Curlew. Fourteen percent (14.4%) of our students open enrolled into the district from other surrounding communities in the county and from surrounding counties.
